I want to take time out of my day to extend thanks to stumpreport.com for using pictures from Flickr account. These are usually photos from the web that I add political comments and personal opinions to. I find it odd that I get a lot of views, but few opinions unless I personally attack the president on what I believe are his socialist agenda. Then the left-wing nuts come out of the woodwork blathering all of the reasons we need the government to control our personal lives. I encourage free speech and original thought. I for one consider myself a free man who desires as little government as possible, and despises government programs for social change. I believe if you depend on the government for anything you will some day have a rude awakening. A network of family, friends, community and church (whether you are a believer or not) should be sufficient enough to get you through any hard time if you are willing to work or give back. Take time to talk to older people who lived through the last depression. All of the social programs and government spending did nothing to end the depression, which effects lasted into the post WW2 era. Healthcare, global warming, carbon credits, eco terrorism....the list is endless. I try to post comments on what is in the daily news. Keep up the good work Phil Kammer!

Evidence, that stands and also collapses - look Global Warming is no longer a world problem, even if it was or is, but it has instead become something much worse: the world greatest revenue source. This you must agree. That being said, all data collected on the issue is up to scrutiny even NASAs. There is a problem and it is man made. Pro world government elements locked onto this issue as a means to launch their global interest. It all stinks likes Obama's Air Force One...

So go ahead and ask the question then: "Don't these intense snowstorms cast doubt on the theory of global warming?"

The answer is, no, they don't at all.

January 2000 to December 2009 was the warmest decade on record. 2009 was the second warmest year on record. A snowstorm or two doesn't change these facts.

This isn't "staunch belief." These are cold hard facts (pardon the pun). You can look up the data anywhere. http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/temp-analysis-2009.html

There is actually a lot of evidence to indicate that the OVERALL warming of the earth's temperature can cause all kinds of unusual and extreme weather conditions around the globe.

No, it means God doesn't like it that Canada's public policies are fast becoming restrictive to his children: you see there is always an answer...lOL

Just wondering here, does the lack of snow storms in Vancouver, BC for the Winter Olympic Games also say that there's no global warming?

You said a reasonable person would now question global warming because of the snowstorm?

I suppose you are right.

But that is because 95% of the populace have no idea what makes their TV set operate. So if you want to just doubt things, enjoy.

The human animal needs to reduce stress to function in society. Worrying about things that you don't understand, like the difference between weather and climate, are not a priority when your wife just kicked your unemployed a$$ out on the street.

Contrary to what you have been told, the plagues and natural events that led to the poisoning of the Nile and the fish kill and insect infestations that followed were not the act some ultra-right wing god, rather as the Bible clearly describes, the resulting environmental chaos that followed the explosion of the island volcano Santornini in Greece.

You should be glad that even though you dropped the "Nazi" bomb, which relegates your opinion to the septic system, Nazis were defeated and your ignorance is offered the same freedom as Moses.

Sad but true, Global Warming is very much like a Global Weather Cult with Gore as the high Priestess. yet like all cults they fade into the shadow of the one true God.

Prayer to the Weather God!

Our carbon, which art in the heavens,
Damned be thy name,
Thy power be gone,
Emissions none,
On earth as it is in heaven,
Give us this day our daily rations,
And forgive us our emissions.
As we forgive those who emissions are greater,
For their need is more,
His name is Al Gore,
For his is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever, Carbon.
