Twisting the U.S. Constitution

Now that the DREAM Act was killed in the Senate before the recess for Christmas and the New Year; progressives/liberals are now trying a different tactic: they are twisting the U.S. Constitution to fit their agenda of rewarding illegal alien’s citizenship.  These are the same people that have no use for the U.S. Constitution to begin with, but they are desperate and will do anything to get their way in order to have more votes in the upcoming 2012 election.

The first way of twisting the U.S. Constitution to fit the progressive/liberal agenda is by quoting the Fourteenth Amendment Section I “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State they reside.  No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” Sounds like a sure thing for the legalization of all illegal aliens’; Right?  WRONG!   Let us take a closer look!  The Fourteenth Amendment was ratified on July 9, 1868, three years after the end of the Civil War and the freeing of thousands of Black Slaves.  Those in Congress at the time wanted to make sure all former slaves including those children born here on American soil were American citizens and had the same rights as whites.  Do you see anything that points to saying anything about illegal’s breaking the law of the land being given citizenship?

Second, that is being used to further the progressive/liberal agenda is the statement “illegal aliens live and work here in this country so we should let them vote”. Well that is totally wrong!   If you actually read the U. S. Constitution you will know that is not possible because according to the Twenty Fourth Amendment Section I “The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay poll tax or other tax.” (Ratified January 23, 1964).  It states clearly in black and white that “The right of citizens of the United States to vote…” that leaves no room for any illegal alien to cast their vote, unless changed by the majority vote of 2/3 by Congress.  It does not say “The right of illegal aliens of the Unite States to vote…”-DARN; while they are at might as well give all felony offenders in this country a right to vote too-NOT!  Oh wait a minute that is what Al Franken did in Minnesota!

Third, that is being used to further the progressive/liberal agenda is many so called journalists are trying to say that only a judge can determine if an illegal alien is an illegal alien. What?    Some journalists go as far as saying it is unconstitutional to refer to illegals as illegal aliens.  What?   What Constitution are they reading?  Sure not the U. S. Constitution-there is not anything that says you can not call a “spade a spade”; an illegal alien is here in the United States illegally. What is so wrong with that?

Fourth and final thing that is being used to further the progressive/liberal agenda is quoting the beginning of the U.S. Constitution: “WE THE PEOPLE of the United States…” and many progressives/liberals say it includes all illegal aliens, because this nation is made up of mostly immigrants.  I have news for you-that is so wrong!  It does not say “WE THE IMMIGRANTS OF THE UNITED STATES OR WE THE ILLEGALS OF THE UNITED STATES OR FOR THAT MATTER WE THE LAW BREAKERS OF THE UNITED STATES”. It says plainly enough “WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES…” that means the legal citizens of this country, no more; no less.  How hard is it to read those six simple words?  There is no mistaking the meaning at all.

The United States is made up of a variety of immigrants, but the majority did it legally without the twisting of the U.S. Constitution and without the power hungry aggression of the progressives/liberals.  Americans must stand together and not let the progressives/liberals abuse the U. S. Constitution and try to make Americans feel ashamed for calling illegal’s “illegal aliens” or for that matter try to make it so only a judge can call an illegal an “illegal alien”.  It is time to defend our U.S. Constitution and the American people!
