I have recently discussed President Obamas decision to ignore the vast majority of Americans desire to see the don’t ask don’t tell policy remain in tact with a number of army personal. Granted each person I talked with was a republican: each had a very passionate opinion against the repeal of don’t ask don’t tell.
Each of the five soldiers I talked with stated that resignation would be considered or for the three enlisted soldiers, trying to find a way out were options. Each of those I talked with worried about unit cohesion being disrupted and for one soldier the idea of showering with a man who views him as a sexual object almost sent him into a violent rage: I had to remind him that it wasn’t a done deal.
The Pentagon is in the process of a year long review in which to determine how the armed services would be effected by President Obama’s decision to repeal don’t ask don’t tell. His orders seem firm and regardless of the findings this destructive policy will likely be implemented. During the review they intend to question military personal, but I fear that the majority of comments and concerns will be ignored as unacceptable: especially if they are anything like those I gathered.
The question now is how many military service personnel will resign or request an early out? How many family military traditions will be abandoned because homosexuals and transvestites want to wear the uniform? This is a question the Pentagon will likely not understand until the policy is repealed.
If this new policy does take effect it will be the first policy to publicly acknowledge that God does not exist. One might ask how I arrived at this conclusion. It is very simple, America’s motto is In God We Trust it reminds us that we acknowledge the existence and providence of God. However, by intentionally recognizing a lifestyle that God openly acknowledges as wrong the United States openly either rebels against God or acknowledges he does not exist. If Lucifer exists he must surly be glad to see this day, he and the Democratic Party.
I would encourage the Pentagon and its leadership to wrangle up the courage to say to the President: for 200 years we have held faith in the God of the Bible and will not now abandon that faith. Courage is not always staring down a barrel of a gun, but standing up for principle while in the presence of a powerful man bent on changing the dreams of our fathers.

Shortlink:
These comments and concerns sound EXACTLY the same as those that were voiced decades ago, when the armed forces integrated blacks into their ranks. Ironically, the armed forces survived, despite all concerns to the contrary.
You need to provide links to your assertions that there is an “EXACT” similarity with accepting the black race in the military in the 1940s and 50s with that of gay men who intentionally sin against God: Also I see no connection or “EXACT” similarity with that of blacks entering the military service and that of gay men who will end up stalking fellow male service members for sex. If I were black I would not be very happy with you.
It’s not the same as any civil right issue. You are deluded if you think so. Get over yourself.
If you think that is the case Tara, then I submit that we can now house Men and women together, with unisex showers also.
No more segregation!
How popular do you think that will be? How fast do you think it would become an all male military?
It’s the same basic idea.
At least when I was in combat, I didn’t have to worry about a black man staring at my ass instead of down the barrel of his rifle. I don’t care how “enlightened” you want to be, it won’t work because very few homosexuals have the discipline to keep their mind focused on their work.
I can tell that, just by the reception that Carrie Prejean got with her OPINION that was asked by a homosexual on the judges panel of the California beauty pageant.
Elliot,
Can you explain what you mean by “because very few homosexuals have the discipline to keep their mind focused on their work”? Are you referring to gays who are preoccupied chasing other men at work or just that they can’t focus in general. I know a few gay men who do very well focusing at work: just trying to get this a bit clearer.
